PSG Goalkeeper Donnarumma Sustains Injury In The Face After A Hit From Singo


Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Donnarumma’s face was bloodied after being hit by an opponent’s cleat.
In the French league standings, Paris Saint-Germain opened a 10-point lead with a 4-2 defeat of Monaco on Wednesday.
Ousmane Dembélé scored a brace, and striker Goncalo Ramos put PSG back in the lead with seven minutes left as he headed in a corner after coming in as a substitute in the lively encounter at the Stade Louis II.
Monaco remained in third place, level on points with second-place Marseille, which has one match in hand.
Donnarumma’s face was bloodied after being hit by an opponent’s cleat during the French league game against Monaco on Wednesday.
The Italy goalkeeper took the studs of Wilfried Singo’s cleat in the 17th minute.
Donnarumma received treatment while lying on the pitch before he was replaced by Matvey Safonov.
Monaco defender Wilfried Singo apologized for his dangerous move that left PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with multiple cuts and facial trauma.
“My gesture was not intentional, but I was able to see afterwards that he had a significant injury to his face,” Singo wrote on social media, in a message posted in both French and Italian. “I wish you a good recovery.”
