Nigerian international and Atlanta forward Ademola Lookman has emerged the winner of the 2024 African Player of the Year at the CAF Awards hosted in Marrakech, Morocco.
 
Ademola Lookman has had an exciting year where he played a great role in Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League success, becoming the first footballer to hit a hat-trick in the final, putting an end to Bayer Leverkusen’s 51-match unbeaten run.
 
His outstanding efforts also helped the Super Eagles to secure qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. 
 
To emerge the winner of this award, Lookman defeated opponents like Achraf Hakimi and Simon Adingra. He also dedicated the award to his teammates, family, and loyal fans.
