The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), the southwest zonal chairman, Olalekan Folorunsho, says Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, is no longer a member of the union.

According to a statement, Salami said Oluomo is not eligible to hold any position in the union since 2022, when he openly tore his union identity card.

He further said MC Oluomo disclosed his exit from the union after the national leadership issued him a query.

“Our Constitution stipulates that a returning member must submit a formal application to the national leadership, which will be considered.
“If accepted, the member must spend at least two years before being eligible to seek any office, starting from the unit chairman level, and none of the steps have been taken by Oluomo, Salami said.

Salami also reaffirmed the leadership of Baruwa, stressing that his tenure was valid and has been upheld by the Appeal Court.

He however said NURTW in Osun State remains under the leadership of Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa.
