NRM Disagrees With Outcome Of Ogun’s Local Government Election

The Ogun State chapter of the National Rescue Movement, NRM, said the late arrival of election materials to various polling units across the state’s 20 local government areas destroyed the election.

Newsmen reported that almost all polling units in the state witnessed the late arrival of electoral officers, materials, and electorates.

Fayoyin Ezekiel, the party chairman, in a statement obtained by Newsmen, berated the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission, OGSIEC, for the poor arrangements.

Ezekiel described the conduct of the elections as a scam, saying the electoral committee failed woefully.

The statement reads: “Following logistics issues and the late arrival of electoral materials, the conduct of the November 16 elections is a scam.

“The electoral umpire has failed woefully in organizing the election.”
He alleged that the outcome of the election was planned, adding that OGSIEC compromised and only carried out paymasters’ instructions.
