Chicago Rapper Lil Durk Arrested May Receive Death Penalty

Authorities arrested a Chicago rapper, Lil Durk, on October 24, 2024, days after he got the keys to the Village of Broadview and Bellwood to honor him for contributing positively to these communities.

The arrest was made in connection with the death of another rapper, Quando Rondo’s cousin, allegedly to retaliate against the death of rapper King Von, a blossom associate of Durk’s Only the Family (OTF) crew. 

An anonymous co-conspirator in the OTF discloses that Lil Durk provided money and promised music opportunities to whoever helped to kill Quando Rondo after the death of King Von.

Reports have it that a gunman attacked Quando Rondo, who is legally known as Terrel Bowman, in August 2022, while he was present at a West Hollywood gas station alongside his cousin and sister. While Rondo and his sister were not touched, his cousin Saviay’a Robinson, who is only 24 years old, was shot several times and died from injuries. 

Durk was moved into detention with five members of OTF, who are all being prosecuted for charges of murder-for-hire and the use of a deadly weapon in the killing, offenses that will likely cause them life imprisonment or the death penalty.
