Ayra Starr Rules Out The Choice Of Dating Another Singer

Award-winning Afrobeats musician Ayra Starr just posted that while she never had a fully committed relationship, she decided never to date or marry her colleague from the music industry.

While Ayra Starr had a conversation with an American colleague, Coco Jones, during a Rolling Stone interview, the American artist asked the Afrobeat star if she would ever date someone in the music industry.

The “Rush” singer claimed that she had already set higher standards for herself when it comes to the issue of dating. This is as she addressed Coco’s questions on relationships. 

Ayra Star had previously expressed her desire for a relationship in an interview with Dazed Magazine in September 2024.

“I want to fall in love. I wrote ‘Lagos Love Story’ about what love would look like if I was,” Ayra Starr shared. While she described herself as a lover girl deep in her heart, she also confessed that she is very single.

Ayra Starr clarified that she has never been in a fully committed relationship. “I’m just very strong-headed about it. I actually have never been in love…I’ve been in certain situations not situationships!—but I’ve never been in a fully committed relationship.”
