Asake’s Feature On NBA 2K25 Reinforces Afrobeats’ Rising Global Influence

Superstar Nigerian artist Asake has been featured on the NBA 2K25 Season 2 soundtrack album in a collaboration he did with British rapper Central Cee.

‘Wave,’ which is a song from the three albums of Nigerian Afrobeat artist’s album Lungu Boy, is on the album alongside other songs by American singers such as Key Glock and Lil Pete.

Asake is the only Nigerian and Afrobeat singer on the NBA 2K25 soundtrack while he continues to represent in the game after ‘Party No Dey Stop’ by another Nigerian artist, Adekunle Gold, that featured in the NBA 2K24 soundtrack.

Asake has joined other Nigerian artists like Burna Boy and Adekunle Gold who have been featured on the NBA soundtrack, which has sold more than 9 million units in its 2024 version.

This achievement has put Asake’s name on the global music space as an influential hitmaker. Aside from this, the Nigerian artist has achieved global success as he has led a lot of chart-topping and record-breaking hits since he made it in 2022.
